Two Prep Schools Opt for ZERO1

posted 2018-11-01T15:12:09 in Case Study

It’s no secret that the VICIS ZERO1 helmet is revolutionizing football safety across the nation. Its clientele, ranging from the youth to professional levels, now includes two preparatory schools on two opposite coasts.

In San Luis Obispo, California, Mission College Preparatory Catholic High School recently decided to outfit all 41 of its varsity and junior varsity football players with the ZERO1. VICIS sent a representative to the high school to custom-fit each player with the state-of-the-art helmet, which is revered as the top-ranked helmet in the sport of football.

“I think every parent would want to see their student playing football in the best helmet ever made,” David Schuster, Head Football Coach at Mission Prep, tells The Tribune. “We want our players to feel safe on the field and our parents to be confident in our commitment to their child’s safety.”

Dalton Strauss, junior linebacker at Mission Prep, already notices the difference the ZERO1 makes in his mental approach to the game. “I’ve never been afraid to play football, but with the technology of the VICIS helmet I feel even more confident and don’t think about head or neck injuries,” Strauss also tells The Tribune.

Meanwhile in Brooklyn, New York, Poly Prep Country Day School will outfit its varsity Blue Devils football squad in the ZERO1, as well, beginning this football season. Most of that decision was based on the school’s commitment to outfit its student-athletes with the safest, most technologically-advanced helmet on the market.

“We are excited to be able to bring increased safety to our athletes through the technology integrated into these new VICIS helmets,” Kevin Fountaine, Head Football Coach at Poly Prep, tells Cision PR Newswire.

With more and more football teams opting for the ZERO1, Dave Marver, VICIS CEO and co-founder, fully expects the trend to continue at the high school level. “Our team has worked hard to bring ZERO1’s breakthrough protective technology to high schools this season,” Marver tells Cision PR Newswire. “We are proud to help them protect their athletes and elevate their performance.”
